The Emperor determines our place in life - the family in which we were born, income level, "quality" of life, our material achievements, and also our ability to keep a promise, to be strong and focused on attempt to reach our goals.
It's about self-control, discipline and our will power.
Another "function" of this zone is a control of emotions, like anger.
The excessive control and self-suppression, an underestimation of his potentialities, of his self-esteem and faith in himself - that's an impact of damaged energy of the Emperor.

The localization of the Zone Emperor is the right ilio-inguinal zone (hip). The Emperor includes the following organs and tissues: the right iliac artery and all major branches of the internal iliac artery, the right iliac vein, the vegetative plexus, the right ovary in women and the right spermatic cord in men, the base and wing of the right iliac bone, as well as the arms its musculoskeletal structures, caecum with its mesentery and appendix right ureter.
The localization of the zone Emperor on the human body corresponds to the D4 zone in the concept of Biological Centring (osteopathy):

What damages zone Emperor?
Firstly, excessive control can be easily passed from generation to generation.
Secondly, other people (especially close relatives) can influence and damage our zone Emperor. Critics and understatement of physical and mental abilities "hurts" our Emperor. This kind of damage can destroy our self-confidence and self-believe for the rest of the life.

Energy exchange between Emperor and other zones
Emperor has an important role in building our life and taking action, archiving goals.
If zone S3 (The Hierophant) doesn't waste all energy on bustle, fears and non-existent horror stories, then it goes to zone V4 (Wheel of Life), and if our Wheel of life didn't waste all energy on anger and irritation, then zone D4 (The Emperor) receives it. And only in case he receives this energy, he has will power and is capable of goal achievement.

Typical Diseases for damaged Emperor
Can be described like 'holding, holding and then boom! burst from tension.'  

Paroxysmal manifestations (regularly recurring attacks) of any disease are a sign of the damaged Emperor!  These can be migraine attacks, either regularly recurring A / V blockade of the conduction system of the heart, or epileptic seizures.

It is important to understand here that the diseases themselves and the affected organs can be different, but there is a common manifestation in all this process of attacks that repeat at regular intervals time!
Appendicitis can also be attributed to this, especially since the localization coincides with the Emperor's zone.  Seemingly unreasonable waves of anger, irritation and aggression that regularly cover the "psyche" are also manifestations of the Emperor's problem patience.

 I took this information from osteopathy course, that I took many years ago, before moving to Thailand.
